Your Mile for Mental Health

We have introduced a week-long virtual challenge for May for Mental Health Week.

Mental Health awareness week in the UK is from 14th - 20th May and during that week is when we will be holding our virtual challenge.

This is a little different from our other challenges where you get to choose the distance.

This is what we call Your Mile for Mental Health

Choose any distance you wish from 1 mile upwards.

How you do your miles will be up to you. Run, walk, swim, cycle - it really is up to you.

As this is different from our normal monthly challenges, we have also worked with a local artist and wood-creative to create this one-off medal for this challenge.

What happens after you sign up:

  • You will receive a confirmation email of your sign up
  • A welcome email 
  • Pledge Sheet - to print out and share on social media
  • Week running diary to print out and use
  • Update email during the challenge
  • On completion of your challenge, you will receive your medal in the post along with a certificate

How do I record my miles?

Simply record your miles as you do them. If you have a tracker such as Strava on your smartphone, a Garmin watch, Fitbit or similar, you can use these to record your miles.

Apps such as MapMyrun or Runkeeper all work too.

You can always record by pen and paper and we provide a free downloadable tracker that you can use to do this.

How do I submit my evidence?

Once you have completed your challenge, take a screenshot or picture of your totals from the App that you use or your paper tracker.

Using our easy to use online form, upload your evidence and then you can sit back and wait for your uniquely designed medal to arrive with your certificate!

Shipping is free in the UK and £3 within Europe.

A minimum of £2.40 per sign up will be split between Mind and SAMH
